In 1404, Owain Glyndŵr burned Cardiff and took possession on the Castle.[39] As most of the properties have been manufactured from timber and tightly packed within the town walls, much of Cardiff was wrecked. The settlement was quickly rebuilt on the same Road system and started to prosper yet again.[35] (Glyndŵr's statue was erected in Cardiff C
